Black PantherAnticipation for Black Panther has been high ever since it was announced, and Chadwick Boseman’s performance in Civil War added to the fuel. Black Panther is a  superhero film by Marvel Studios, it is the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, and stars Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, alongside Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman.

Forest Whitaker Black PantherThis movie gives an interesting insight into a culture never seen before, introduces us to new characters. It is a fun movie which brings a smile to face every few minutes. It presented Black Panther as more human, someone you can connect with. Boseman’s had vulnerabilities and strength, which added dimensions to the character.

black panther with familyLetitia Wright plays Boseman’s sister ‘Shuri’ and their chemistry was a delight to watch. She is a tech genius who is responsible for all the technology in the country that Panther rules. Black Panther being the king has his personal bodyguards, which are called Dora Milaje. Danai Gurira plays the leader of Dora Milaje and her banter with Boseman’s character was so fun.

Black Panther at times felt disjointed, some scenes out of place. The soundtrack of the movie didn’t work for me. Regardless the movie is worth watching on the big screen.
